A gorgeous set of eight transfer printed plates, the Cologne pattern, Ralph Stevenson & Son, Coleridge, Staffordshire England, circa 1810-1835.
A soft pink on white, the scalloped rimmed plates show a romantic landscape with a central image of a castle on a river, and trees framing the view. Mountains are seen in the distance. A diamond patterned geometric inner border with a wide outer border of alternating cartouches showing florals and geometrics.
Gorgeous color. So nice to have a set of eight.
Underglaze tissue printed on an earthenware body.
A wider rim with a deeper center.

Marked: Stamped on the verso, the pattern name in a landscape cartouche, in pink
Excellent antique conditions. Difficult to find a set of eight in this condition!
