Petite in size with a svelte modern oval shape, this tabletop or vanity top bamboo and rattan tray hails from the early to mid 1960s. Handcrafted from a bent bamboo frame, the braided rattan border and lip gives it a polished finished look. The interior and underside are handwoven rattan. The interior is done in an over and under weave, while the underside has a plaited weave; pale tribal-type motif on the interior in sage and amber adds visual and textural interest. This whimsical cutie measures 12¼” x 8½” x 1¼” W/D/H; interior 11¾” x 8” x 1” W/D/H; weight 6 oz. Crafted from bamboo and rattan with a lacquer finish; partial makers label on the underside. In excellent condition, structurally sound with minimal wear. Visually attractive compact profile that will complement most any design style!
