I am a third generation gilder, on my father's side. My grandfather owned an art gallery in Europe where he made frames for artists who would display their work. Carrying on the tradition my father moved west starting a business taking antiques and not only restoring but reproducing pieces of furniture that were either limited in quantity or no longer existed.
