This piece was created in our workshop, it is made of alder wood with 22k gold leaf details, red and black paint. The top is out of solid wood with a dark stain to complete the look.
The table is an example of Chinoiserie or Anglo-Indian/Regency fusion furniture. Rather than being a strictly European Neoclassical piece as its tulip carvings on the apron suggest, it intentionally blends European and East Asian design languages.
Leg Details: Below the gold Shou medallion, the leg is painted in a classic cinnabar red and features a carved Greek key/meander band, followed by a ring of lotus leaves. This creates a beautiful artistic dialogue between Western and Eastern motifs on a single piece of furniture.
