Inspired by local San Francisco culture and the arts, Tineke recently launched a line of specialty carpets with California Carpet’s Design Studio Collection. We celebrated the launch at California Carpets Showroom in SoMa alongside some of our closest colleagues. We were excited to share the stage with other notable San Francisco designers Martha Angus, Kathy Best, Arthur McLaughlin, and Susan Greenleaf. We recently had the opportunity to design and install the LUXE Magazine VIP Lounge at the Art Silicon Valley Show in San Mateo. Through LUXE, we partnered with Roche Bobois in San Francisco to create modern lounge areas, along with cafe style seating to accommodate the bar area. As interior designers, our team solved many problems, including how to hang eight chandeliers to float over the seating groups and bar area. For San Francisco-based Tineke Triggs, noteworthy design is about breaking away from the pack. The owner and principal designer of Artistic Designs for Living sees interiors as an opportunity to look at the world in a novel way. “No two projects are alike,” says Triggs, who has been in the industry for more than a decade. “Although each design reflects the client’s individuality, I always try to include something unexpected.” Triggs, whose specialty is creating a layered look, often refers to the fashion world for inspiration. The patterns, textures and colors of powerhouses like Ralph Lauren and Pucci often run through her mind while designing. “I am able to transform ideas into creative living solutions,” she says.
