While flipping through the current issue of Interiors Magazine, I stumbled across the Covet section which featured Ochre’s Celestial Pebble fixture. I was quickly reminded of our showcase design and wanted to share with you a bit more about why we chose Ochre for the room. In general, when selecting light fixtures for our En Vogue Salon at the 2015 Decorator Showcase, we wanted to balance the high fashion look with responsible energy-efficient pieces. Wow. Weren’t we all surprised by the hard right Pantone took with Marsala, the 2015 Color of the Year. The internet is sure abuzz with negative feedback, and the design industry is jumping on the bandwagon. Many designers just don’t like it, and I don’t blame them. Personally, I do have my reservations that the deep-red color too closely resembles actual blood. But, in the right tone, I love it!
