    About

Richard Manion Architecture, established in Los Angeles in 2009, has gained a reputation as the go-to firm for a discerning clientele, both local and international, who are building their dream home. Whether the project is a principal residence or vacation home, RMA responds with a hands-on approach that guides its clients through every stage of the design and construction process.

We conduct extensive research on the project site and the surrounding environment, the orientation of the house with its setting and how it relates to the topography and climate of the region. We create a master plan for the house and grounds and provide hand-drawn and digital renderings and models so that clients can clearly envision every aspect of their residence. We collaborate closely with leading builders, interior designers and landscape designers to make the entire process seamless.

Our goal is a personalized residence that embodies classic proportions, simple elegance, fine materials, quality craftsmanship and thoughtful attention to detail.

We have been honored with features in numerous publications worldwide, including Architectural Digest, Robb Report, Luxe, Veranda, Period Homes and California Homes. Our first monograph “New Classicists: Richard Manion Architecture” was published in 2011.
