    David Vallone Restorations Inc. originated in Buffalo New York in 1986 before relocating to Florida in 2001. Our business specializes in the restoration, preservation, and sale of 18th and 19th century furniture and decorative objects of art of the period servicing both private collectors and dealers.

    Many of the pieces that we come across most often only need a good cleaning and waxing or the hardware lightly adjusted or tightened and we are always happy to find them in such good original condition as this. Unfortunately in some cases we find good pieces that were just mistreated or poorly maintained throughout the years and some form of restoration needs to be performed to insure the integrity of the piece is preserved for future generations.

    All of our items we offer for sale have been carefully inspected for condition and originality and when necessary have gone through our restoration shop to assure that each piece is in very good to excellent useable condition, and that every effort to maintain and preserve the original condition of each item is addressed properly.

    Although we feel that less is best when any type of restoration is performed on an antique piece we don’t feel that you should have to take a newly purchased piece of furniture to a restorer when you purchase it to repair any issues it may have. We try to make sure that you will not encounter any compromised previous repairs, loose or damaged case construction, moldings, inlays, or veneers that are damaged or missing, or drawers that don’t work properly on any of the furniture that we sell. Almost all of our pieces of period furniture that we offer for sale either retains a very old or original surface or finish that has been properly cleaned and preserved if required.

    PLEASE NOTE: These period pieces are very old and some may show signs of some color differences throughout the same piece. On many of the original pieces we offer you will find normal usage and distress marks that are customary for antique furniture that has not been stripped or skinned, and that are over 200-300 years old. If you are looking for as new looking flawless or completely refinished furniture these items may not be to your liking.

    We are located on the west coast of Florida in the Sarasota / Bradenton area located about an hour south of Tampa Florida. We have an onsite restoration studio that has been in existence since 1986 and is open to the public by appointment only Monday through Friday.

    Our restoration business has been in existence for almost 40 years and we have been selling antique furniture on line for almost as long with a reputation second to none. We strive to bring you the very best products and can assure you that they are represented honestly and fairly to the best of our ability and we stand behind every piece we sell. We are very selective with the items we sell and strive to preserve the originality of all of the pieces that we find for resale whenever possible. Any new or previous repairs, replacements or surface restoration / refinishing on any of our pieces will be clearly noted in our listings.
