    About

Linda’s formal education was bolstered with independent study courses in architecture and the history of furniture, as well as lecture study tours around the world. Linda has traveled extensively for her business and own pleasure. Since Linda’s grandfather and father both worked in the textile industry, not only was she surrounded by creativity but also learned what a beautiful fabric was and how it was made at a young age.

Linda firmly believes that the journey a homeowner embarks upon with their Interior Designer should be both enjoyable and educational. She uses her substantial background and extensive knowledge of interior design to ensure that this happens for the client. Linda works very closely with her clients designing their interior spaces to articulate the clients own histories, passions, needs, and desires. Continuity, circulation, practicality, and suitability are constants for the home that Linda brings to each and every project. Of paramount importance is functionality for the home in today’s modern lifestyle. LRI creates spaces perfectly tailored for each individual project it undertakes, whether commercial or residential.

With a strong expertise in Classical Interiors, Linda prides herself on her attention to detail and ability to interpret Classical models for today’s lifestyles. Her professional success is due to her seemingly uncanny ability to make a design look as though it has always been in its environment. Linda’s depth of knowledge of antiques coupled with an unparalleled access to resources, have enabled her to undertake numerous commissions to establish antique collections for clients. Equally adept at both classic and contemporary design, her personal fondness for English antiques prompts their use even in the most modern interior spaces.

Over the past 25 plus years, LRI has completed many significant projects throughout the country including the landmarked Steinway Building, the “Norbam Apartment” in the Sherry Netherland Hotel and the Kellogg Mansion in New York City, a 15,000 sq. ft. home in Brookline, MA, a 4,500 sq. ft. ski-in ski-out home in Vail, CO, a Pacific Heights apartment overlooking San Francisco Bay, a 10,000 sq. ft. home on the ocean in Palm Beach, FL, a Gold Coast home once belonging to the Vicks-Richardson family in Westport, CT, two landmarked castles’ as well as a 20,000 sq. ft. home in Conyers Farms, and a 25,000 sq. ft. new landmark Georgian home located in Greenwich, CT are a few examples of Linda’s projects.

Linda Ruderman Interiors, Inc. is located in downtown Greenwich, CT. LRI is fully equipped with state of the art technology and internet communication programs to better facilitate the client’s needs, making for a highly effective client/designer relationship.

LRI has embraced Green Design. Sustainability and working with products that are better for our environment are very important to the firm. Linda believes as being an Interior Designer her firm can make a difference for our future. After two years of research and the completion of their first “Green House” project, LRI has added Green Design and Living to their roster of residential and commercial projects.
