ARTIST & DESIGNER IZABEL MARTINEZ AKA Izzie Marz is a multidisciplinary artist known for her vibrant abstract paintings, colorfield abstract watercolors, and sculptural architectural ceramics. Her work spans a diverse array of artistic expressions, seamlessly blending high fashion with fine art.

Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA in the late 1960s and raised in Southern California, Izzie’s career began in garment design, where she crafted iconic pieces for Madonna, Adidas, and other influential figures in the early 1990s. By the 2000s, she expanded her expertise into costume design, creating memorable looks for Marilyn Manson and other A-list artist.

A self-taught painter, Izzie Marz’s abstract paintings are known for their dynamic forms and vivid colors. Her colorfield abstract watercolors explore colorful, abstract compositions, reflecting a deep exploration of emotion and form.

In ceramics, Izzie’s work is both sculptural and architectural, drawing influences BRUTALISM, MINIMALISM, Danish, Japanese, African, cultures. Izzie delves into both ancient methods and contemporary techniques, embracing the beauty found in the nature and the abstract.
