For over 30 years, g a macura inc. has offered extensive art advisory
services, including but not limited to art collection and estate management,
exhibition curation and production, and art market consulting. In recent
years the business turned its focus toward large Estate Collections not
previously offered to the public. One estate of current focus is the collection
of a late Chinese-American businessman & philanthropist which comprises
over 2,500 objects. Born in rural China, the collector began traveling to the
US in the late 50’s. Though they eventually made New York their home,
they traveled frequently to China for both business and art acquisition.

With the purchase of a beautiful large jadeite censer from Christie’s in the
late 70’s, the collection began to take shape, growing through consistent
acquisitions and commissions up through the early 00’s. In addition to
purchasing pieces in their native China, they also bought artworks through
Christies, Sothebys and other US Auction houses. Initially drawn to beautiful
jadeite figures and objects, in time the scope of the collection grew to
include a full spectrum of porcelain, rock crystal, bronzes, scrolls and multi
panel screens. Over the next few months g a macura inc. will begin
bringing many of these high-quality items to the Chairish platform.
