Created in France during the 19th century, this walnut armchair showcases the stylistic characteristics of the Louis XIII era. The chair features a nicely slanted rectangular back, connected to two large scrolling arms which are 24.62 inches high. The seat and back are both upholstered with a used red colored fabric with brass nailhead trim secured in the back. This seat is 17 inches high and 19.5 inches deep. The ensemble is resting on a os de mouton base (translating as mutton leg in English), strengthened by an H-Form cross stretcher and front stretcher.
