Stated rectangular clock, with a thread suspension mechanism, in gilded bronze, representing "the virgin with the chair", taken from the work of the Italian painter Raphaël (1483-1520). Mary, sitting, holds the child Jesus in her arms.
The dial, surrounded by a striated cord, is graduated in Roman numerals.
The body is with winged putti decorations, clouds and acanthus leaves. The base is decorated with shells, fruit and berries.
Some will admire the sacred character of this object, while others will especially retain the love of a mother to her child. In both cases, this clock will appeal to its finesse of manufacturing and its brilliant golden patina.
