Gorgeous german silver huge lidded bowl of finest manufacturing quality: it is excellently decorated - made in following manner: victorian … Read more Gorgeous german silver huge lidded bowl of finest manufacturing quality: it is excellently decorated - made in following manner: victorian style surface of bowl with lid is abundantly ornamented with chasing / chiselled work consisting of various ornaments (acanthus leaves & scrolls, flower's blossoms with leaves as well as flower's garlands combined with stylized ornaments - for example scrolls and lockets). The oblong bellied bowl having slightly domed lid is attached to four feet shaped as acanthus scrolls. Additionally, the bowl's lid is crowned with a sculptured cherub's figurine holding a chalice as well as a lyre. Manufactory: hanau / germany master's mark: jean l. Schlingloff (having his own manufactury in hanau as from the year 1907 until 1930 / the silversmith had been active for hanau firm neresheimer & co.
