Created in India during the 19th century, this wooden piece was originally used to hand make noodles. Showcasing a vice press, the body is adorned with a stylized carved ram whose head and behind expand from a central square. This container is where the dough was placed and the vice part would press it into noodles. The ram head is carved in a quite stylized manner, the large antlers helping us identify the animal. The sides are accented with medallions adorned with rosettes.
