A Really is a Great Looking Authentic Antique American Primitive Stoneware Storage Crock - Jar. Circa Late 19th Century. It is Not Marked as to its Size - Storage Capacity but I would Estimate it to be Somewhere Between 1 Gallon and 1 1/2 Gallons. This is a Completely Hand Made Piece. The Classic Salt Glaze Exterior has a Wonderfully Executed Cobalt Blue Hand Decorated Stylized Flower Design on the Front. The Interior Glaze is Done in a Ox Blood Brown Color. It has No Maker Mark but in My Considered Opinion it Comes From the Up State New York Region. It is in Very Good Strong and Sound Usable Condition and Displays Beautifully. It has No Chips - No Repairs. Cosmetic Imperfection Noted - It has a Very Minor - Faint Hairline Crack at the Base Area Below the Blue Decoration - This can Best Be Seen in The Last Photograph in My Listing. It Does Have a Some Exterior Glaze Imperfections - Surface Spots But These are Quite Common - Normal with this type of Antique American Stoneware and Would Have Absolutely Occurred in the Making - Kiln Firing Process. Stoneware Pieces Such a These were Fired in Very Large Kilns with Many Other Pieces at the Same Time - In Large Batches. Truly an Fine Example of Authentic Early American Blue Decorated Stoneware. Perfect in a Country Kitchen Setting to House and Display Wood Spoons - Utensils Etc..
It Measures Overall Approx. 9 3/4 inches Tall x 7 1/2 inches Long - Wide.
