From the artistic imagination of Arthur Von Frankenburg, the founder of Frankart, here is a pair of lovely art deco era maiden bust head bookends. Wearing a calm, ethereal expression, a floral wreath upon her head, and a timeless 1920's-30's American design, these are a lovely addition to any bookshelf or flanking a central focal point.
Condition notes: these are antique or near antique in age and show some corrosion on the underside as well as slight discoloration at the plinth bases, as seen in photos, adding to their authentic patina and allure. Both are in a bronze finish, likely cast in heavy pot metal, typical of the work of Frankart. The finish is the same color on both bookends. Variations between the two shown in the photos are due to lighting.
