This is an antique bureau plat. A French, walnut and boxwood writing desk in Louis XV revival taste, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order

Striking light caramel hues beam beneath a wax polish finish
Traditional bureau plat form, with serpentine curvature
Generous quartered top with boxwood inlaid medallion and stringing borders
