The early 20th century set is complete with 218 lenses (+ 17 loose), a pair of testing glasses or spectacles, and a 1907 round box from the Rockford Watch Co. filled with an assortment of small screws. Embossed leather labels identify each row of lenses as Spherical Concave, Spherical Convex, Cylindrical Concave, and Cylindrical Concave. The lenses fit into slots within a velvet lined case divided into compartments. There are two front latches and a lock to secure the lid; the lock retains its original key.

The complete set of lenses are in very good condition. The case has working hinges, clasps, and lock. The outer leather is distressed; dry and cracking overall with significant losses around the edges of the top. The closed case measures 21.25 in. length x 11.5 in. wide x 4.25 in. height. See less
