The electric blue pattern that seems to drip along the surface of each jar is actually painted by hand. Proving that these pieces are artisanal in their creation, some brushstrokes show the culmination point where the artist lifted the brush on the lighter oblong shapes, the action leaving a darker spot at that point. Though these blue decorative jars were inspired by centuries-old designs, they have a surprisingly contemporary feel.
