Below the gilt lip and fine red trim line is a band of pink and green Ru Yi lappets. The Wu Fu Peng Shou medallion of a large, red, longevity character surrounded by five Fu Bats is centered amid auspicious branching peaches and smaller, beribboned Shou characters. Five, finely drawn, auspicious, red Fu Bats are glazed to the exterior. A blue, Yongzheng Yuzhi, reign mark is glazed to the center of the inset base. The finely carved, traditional, Chinese, hongmu plate stand is included. Circa early 20th century, no later than mid century.

The Wu Fu Peng Shou symbol refers to the blessing of longevity, the five Fu Bats also allude to the five blessings: health (康寧), wealth (富), long life (壽), love of virtue (yu hao te 攸好德) and peaceful death (考終命). See less
