A colorful and meticulously designed stoneware pottery vase glazed in a raku technique that gives off a metallic sheen.
Made by the late James Loso of St. Joseph Minnesota. Mr. Loso was a beloved, boisterous pottery teacher and studio potter who designed a broad range of different vessels. This large vase was designed and inspired by the art nouveau and art deco styles of early 20th century that Jim was especially intrigued by.
Comes with original maker's paper label. Excellent vintage condition.
