Its main part cut in the shape of a lyre has a bronze dial with two needles with inscriptions in Roman numerals. It is richly ornate: friezes of shells and pearls around, foliage decorations in the center.
It is topped with a bronze ornament cut in acanthus, scrolls and flowers. On both sides of the instrument are integrated two fictitious pivots also cut. The lower part of the lyre is generously embellished with chiseled bronzes in crown of roses and scrolls, in the heart of which we discover two heads of lions. We guess a nice butterfly pendulum through the five vertical stems representing the strings of the instrument.
It is suspended from a thread integrated into the bicentennial mechanism of this clock.
The whole rests on a rectangular base in plated mahogany, molded and embellished with a large bronze belt shaped in foliage. This base is itself camped on four circular and bronze dishes.
It should be noted that the dial of this pendulum is stamped with the degree 'Pigneret', and that the underside of the base also has a signature. This clock is supplied with its key which, once introduced in the holes of the dial, will raise the mechanism.
