Stunning pedestal porcelain fruit bowl from Germany, featuring reticulation, gold trim, as well as raised flowers and leaves which were all painted by hand. Typical Dresden-inspired floral patterns adorn the inside of the bowl. Maker's mark at the bottom: attributed to Sitzendorf, Thuringia, circa. 1890s-1920s*. This item was brought to the USA by a Jewish German family before WWII.

Base diameter = 6 inches
No restoration and no crack, though the condition is not pristine: the inside of the bowl shows small stains, and the tips of some of the raised leaves are missing. Please refer to pictures. The three-dimensional structure and the sophisticated use of colors drives the eyes to the item's beauty rather than its imperfections, but still, there are imperfections.
