A large majolica cabbage ware platter, in the style of Dodie Thayer. Made popular in Palm Beach, Old Hollywood, and by legendary hostesses since the 1960s! It measures 11.75". In excellent vintage condition.
This style of pottery was created by Dodie Thayer, a Palm Beach resident and local artisan. Many pottery companies followed the trend, creating a look that is as chic now as it was at it's inception. This is an example of a collection similar to Thayer's work, though not created by her. It is unmarked.
