Pair Antique Italian Renaissance Side Chairs are elaborate expressions of the style, celebrating the beauty and majesty of earthly wonders in sculpted wood. The high, arched seatbacks are contoured for comfort, and feature foliates, scrollwork, rosettes and more, all with a pierce-carved seatback splat. Fine tapestry upholstery with a complementary naturalistic design provides comfort, and is supported by a contoured apron all around with the sides and front sections artfully carved with detail. Double scrolled front legs and contoured rear legs are connected with a modified "H" stretcher with the center oriented to present another carved facade below. Lion's paw feet in the front complete the look. Sold as a pair.
