Hand-crafted of warm, rich solid mahogany at the turn of the late 19th / early 20th century, most likely imported from France and sold through RJ Horner's lower Manhattan, United States retail store (1886-1915)

Exceptionally executed in classic French Empire taste, fine quality craftsmanship and construction, featuring patinated gilt bronze mounted mahogany with beautifully aged patina, having a rectangular highly figured mahogany top with rich grain detail, over four large frieze drawers, designed to accommodate two people with a pair of dovetailed drawers on both sides, rising on cylindrical columns, joined by a substantial H-form cross-stretcher, terminating in bun disc feet. circa 1900

Great original antique condition. Attractive appearance with nicely aged dark rich patina over the whole, mildly distressed, with scattered abrasions throughout as expected. Overall a superb example, with wear commensurate with age and indicative of use. See less
