Hand-crafted of warm, rich solid mahogany at the turn of the late 19th / early 20th century, most likely imported from France and sold through RJ Horner's lower Manhattan, United States retail store (1886-1915)

Exceptionally executed in classic French Empire taste, fine quality craftsmanship and construction, featuring patinated gilt bronze mounted mahogany with beautifully aged patina, having a rectangular highly figured mahogany top with rich grain detail, over four large frieze drawers, designed to accommodate two people with a pair of dovetailed drawers on both sides, rising on cylindrical columns, joined by a substantial H-form cross-stretcher, terminating in bun disc feet. circa 1900
