The company was the primary producer of high end wicker furniture during the heyday of wicker furniture’s popularity. This chair was pictured in the company’s first catalogue, page 51-52. Although it doesn’t retain its original label, it was purchased together with 3 other wicker chairs produced during the same time period, all painted white and retaining their makers labels. See other listings in this shop.

This chair incorporates iconic wicker designs: curlicues and scrollwork on the back and skirt, beadwork along the back rail and skirt, cane seat, and densely-woven unique fancywork on the back panel, reed circles on the skirt, tapered legs, and wrapped and tapered side supports. See less
