Began in the 13th century, Merton College is part of Oxford College in England. A tyg is a large English pottery mug with three or more handles dividing the rim into sections for several drinkers. Unmarked Royal Doulton salt glazed different images on each section between the handles. Sterling rim is engraved with the college, sport, crest and date. See less
