This bird is a monumental piece of sculptured figural pottery.
The modeling and crisp details of the feathers is testament to the superb quality of the master artisans that created the piece. Impressive and fanciful animation of the parrot. The lifelike gestural movement suggests the bird is in preflight as though the sculptor has caught the creature just as it is leaning off to stretch it's wings to fly away.
This lamp is truly unique .
