Provincial German Baroque showcase cover or buffet. West German, 2nd half of the 18th century. Solidly made of oak wood and partially carved.
The wood was freed from the old wax, which reveals the beautiful surface of the raw oak and makes the elegant puristic design of the furniture appear.
On the side of the casseted body with slanted pilgrims and a total of 4 doors on external brass pits on the side of the fierce feet. Tanning cabinet with 2 drawers and a slightly protruding profiled cover plate. Then the showcase attachment with glazed pilasters and glazed doors.
Both the base cabinet and the showcase attachment are equipped with 2 shelves on the inside.
Dimensions: 138.5 cm/ 225 cm (total) high, 132 cm wide, 41 cm/ 55 cm deep
In the course of the restoration, some strips, glass panes and the back wall of the showcase attachment were renewed.
The furniture can be transported into 2 parts (showcase attachment, base cabinet).
