Designed in 2010 by Michael Young, the Avalon chairs heavily favor vintage designs much akin to the Mushroom Chair by Verner Panton. I love their soft lines and inviting shape.

“Avalon was created as nod towards the man that first inspired me to become a designer, Verner Panton. I felt that there had not been a great deal of evolution in the big soft upholstered tub chair sector recently, certainly none that swivel and, as ever, I like to design things that I could have in my own home. It’s a serious contract piece suitable for airports and hotels alike. It is also the only one-piece injection chair produced in Sweden in the last 25 years and represents a serious commitment to the vision of longevity.”

The chairs are solid and the foam is in excellent condition. However, the fabric is dirty, it could possibly be cleaned, however, I would recommend reupholstery in order for them to be fully appreciated. I attached an example of a set I love, they would also be fun in all different colors. See less
