A matching pair of Murano glass vases with Roman-inspired amphora forms, flared mouths, applied loop handles, and glass trails winding around the bodies. Their blue glass has a textured scavo finish with pale cream and rust-colored areas, giving the pair the appearance of excavated ancient glass.
The pair is possibly by Seguso Vetri d’Arte; Gino Cenedese and Ermanno Nason also produced Murano scavo glass.
The vases are closely matched, with the slight differences expected of handmade glass. One measures 11" high and the other 11¼" high; each is approximately 5½" wide.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs observed. The textured surface is part of the intended scavo finish.
