A brilliant and sharply clear Cut Glass Biscuit Barrel with silver plated trim, handle and lid. 'Made in England' imprinted on silver rim. Circa 1940s. It is a nice solid weight of 2 lbs. 3.8 oz. and has a beautiful star pattern much like The Canterbury Pattern. Traditionally biscuit barrels were used in English homes for storage of cookies and shortbread often served during tea time. This piece would look wonderful displaying potpourri, wax melts, bath salts as well as for traditional uses.
