C.1998-99: French Paul Mathieu design for Holly Hunt Showrooms, are these pair of patinated bronze and black calfskin leather upholstered occasional, side chairs. A "To the Trade," representative multi-national line, which exclusively represents this designed collection by Paul Mathieu in these unique, a sculptural, a la Henry Moore meets Giacometti-style imbued influence(s), along with elements of European and Scandinavian simple refinement, such as a nuanced wishbone esthetic, throughout the frame. A sophisticated, unique and eclectic design full of the artistic and crafted end of Industrial and furniture design, that form follows function, BUT that form should never be deterred or refrained, but a wonderful nod to the, "Art is still Alive," Mantra. One who partakes in having singular pieces, by distinctive designers, as part and partial to showcasing one's own individuality, as well as self-identity by the attachment to certain would be interior domain inclusions, within one's home and surroundings, much like art, sculpture, and all the nuanced decorative addition within our homes, offsets the intrinsic aspect(s) that give individualism and self identify a concrete landing pad. From a Wellington, Florida Estate. Model # RVO-DC. Custom made with lead times usually extend to 14-16 weeks, given that the collection is made per custom order within the Trade Industry. A perfect addition perhaps to a banquette type seating opposite that, offset within a living/family room setting as occasional seating, within a dining room, foyer entry opposite and ended within console, chest, etc. a den/office, but not limited to each owns' intention. Paul Mathieu has designed collections for Donghia Furniture and Holly Hunt, as well as other discerning luxury and furnishing lines, much like Jean-Michel Frank and Jacque Garcia have done in the 50's-80's, to name but a few and distinctive Designer's, one also would add Christian Liaigre and Wendell Castle as seminal to the next generational Industrial/furniture Designers, the latter setting the genre of sculptural design within furniture as art, and should and could be uniquely applicable, in an exponential height within the interior Design Industry.
