Rosenborg Danablu NR Alslev Denmark, marked on the plate, means the Rosenborg Cheese Company, Danablu is their iconic Blue Cheese, NR means North, and Alslev is a tiny island in the South of Denmark - population 270 - home of Rosenborg Cheese.
The interior is unlined, maybe Denmark is cold enough to store cheese in a big wood bucket and not refrigerated.
