This type … Read more This Really is a Very Nice Looking Original Antique American Primitive Stoneware Storage Jug. Circa Late 19th Century. This type of Jug was typically for Cider - Hard Cider - Liquor - Spirits Etc. Based on its size it would appear to be a 1 Gallon Jug ( Not Marked ). It has a very nice Navy - Dark Cobalt Blue Hand Decorated Stylized Design (Possibly a Tree) on the front on a Sand Color Salt Glazed Exterior. It has no maker marks. It is most likely from the Up State New York or Northern New England Region. It is in Very Good Strong - Sound Condition with No Cracks or Repairs. It has Minimal Kiln glaze imperfections - Good Overall Uniform Color. It has a Few Small Chips at The Base - Perimeter but These are Quite Common with This Type of Utilitarian Use Stoneware. It Displays Very Nicely..
It Measures 12 inches Tall x 7 1/2 inches Wide - Long.
