The Modernist poster print is published by The Israel Museum, Jerusalem. Printed in Israel in 1986 by I. Malis in an unnumbered limited edition, design by Achsa. It features an " Untitled " Abstract Expressionist artwork image originally created by Rothko in 1955, gift of The Mark Rothko Foundation Inc., " From the Israel Museum Collection ".

Mark Rothko ( 1903 - 1070 ) is an American Modernist painter of Russian Jewish descent. Although Rothko himself refused to adhere to any art movement, he is generally defined as an Abstract Expressionist. His bold use of color fields make the artworks impressively iconic and highly individual. Rothko is considered to be one of the most important and influential American painters of The Twentieth Century. Artworks by Rothko are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.

The rare out of print framed Abstract Expressionist extra large poster print measures 22 3/8" W X 45 1/8" H X 1 3/8" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern matte brushed finish dark charcoal gray metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " very clean condition with very light signs of handling.
