Beautiful and rare pair of Italian walnut side chairs made by Fratelli Levaggi for Campanino Chiavari in the early 1950s. These chairs were originally designed in 1807 by Giuseppe Gaetano Descalzi. They are extraordinarily light, solid and strong and feature an all original rare hand painted gold leaf design. These chairs were the favorite model of Ignazio Gardella and Franco Albini for their interior design projects in the 1950s + 60s.
