Last quarter of … Read more An Exceptionally Fine Quality Early Edwardian Signed Austrian Royal Vienna Cabinet Shallow Dish Plate of circular outline. Last quarter of the Nineteenth Century. Unsigned but firmly attributed to KNOILLEZ, a well-respected Artist who worked for KPM (Royal Porcelain Factory, Berlin) during the Nineteenth Century.

The central reserve with a raised lavish tooled gilt border exquisitely hand painted with three classical Maidens flanking a large bronze group within a leafy landscape, after Angelica Kauffman. The outer pink border with alternating panels of lavish scrolling gilding on an iron red ground.

Condition: Exceptional condition for such an early example, no wear to gilding, possibly never used, usual “BEEHIVE” mark in underglaze blue
