Add a traditional English touch to your decor with this remarkable barley twist walnut armchair with center stretcher from the early 1800s in the Jacobean style.
In very good antique condition, stable with original finish and normal wear from age and use. Fine old uniform patina. Wooden pegs visible on corner blocks as shown which is very characteristic of early European furniture construction. The chair seems to have been reupholstered in the late 1800s with a beautiful floral tapestry and finished off with large brass tacks. Wear visible on armrest and seat. From a smoke-free environment.
