A vienna style porcelain burgundy-ground tray, titled 'triumph der venus' from the late 19th century, with a blue beehive mark and signed Berger Ping. The oblong octagonal tray is painted with Venus rising from the sea, assisted by three attendants, and Cupid hovering above them, the scene edged in gilt scrolls and trellis, the rim with a band of fruiting vine.
