Iconic both in its design and its manufacture, this model n°12331 from the House of Thonet is part of the quest for minimalism dear to its creator.
Thonet, founded in 1859, revolutionized the furniture industry by patenting its process of bending boiled wood in a glue bath to make it curved.
Composed of a cane back and seat, in perfect condition, this solid rocking chair has a patina redone to match the original model.
The Thonet marking is present under the seat.
