The Galena mineral from Dalnegorsk, forms in fascinating variations on the usual cubic and octahedral crystals and this specimen is a terrific example of this phenomenon. The cube-octahedral crystals on the piece are an interesting variation, but the spotlight is really on the mirror-like, flashing surfaces of the galena, which give the piece excellent sparkle, glitter, and flares of light that bring it to life. This is a very choice Dalnegorsk galena specimen, in a great large cabinet size, with enough flash to make it a real eye catcher in a mineral display.
