This antique table from France features a rectangular-shaped top with rounded corners and fitted with a warm/camel-colored leather writing pad, which slightly overhangs an apron that has a nicely carved skirt along all four sides (allowing this piece to be floated within a room). The table is presented upon four gracefully curved and slender legs, which terminate into hoof style feet. The legs are in very good condition. The medium/warm toned fruitwood and leather top both have a nicely aged patina. The leather top is quite old, but likely not the original leather. The leg clearance at the underside of this piece is 24.25 inches in height. This 18th century French table with leather writing pad top, would make a delightful Bonheur-du-jour (small-sized ladies writing desk), yet a versatile enough piece to be useful in just about any room in your home.
