This beautiful Chinese textile is set behind a custom made double mat, which is in a gilt carved wooden frame. The colors and details are exquisite. Probably, this textile was from a noble woman’s robe. The main purplish/pink background fabric has a barely noticeable jacquard weave depicting Chinese symbols. This piece is much more beautiful in person. It was hard to photographic since it is set behind glass. See less
