This is an authentic 1880’s Edwards & Roberts Writing Desk . Newer copies of it have been made and sold. Notice the fine intricacy of the inlay on this desk , the thick old brass gallery detail . The lovely pearl inlay inset detail around the side edges. This outstanding desk is unmatched in quality age woods , fine superior craftsmanship. The aged leather shows it’s authenticity! If desired the leather could inexpensively be replaced . The ink marks on the top shelf were lightly sanded to retain it’s authenticity.
