Here is glass born in the first decades of the last century, when iridescence was a new magic. Made by Fenton between 1910 and 1925, this Diamond & Rib vase swells upward, its swung rim reaching out like petals just unfurled.
At 8.5 inches tall, it glows with an amethyst fire—purples, golds, and greens shifting with the light, never the same twice. The surface carries the classic hand of early carnival glass, unmarked at the base, a testament to its age. A survivor of parlors and mantels, it remains a radiant fragment of American glass history.
