This French walnut desk is beautiful and imposing by its selection of wood cuts and large scale.
The locking fall front top is attached by two cast iron chains and reveal a large writing area and storage compartments. Below, two locking doors open to a large shelf for additional storage. Both keys included. A marking on a small drawer reads 17 March 1849, likely left by a previous owner, however the desk was made in the early 1800s.
