Metropolitan Museum of Art Egyptian collection. Faience canopic jar with deep blue glaze. It is marked with the MMA logo on the underside. Early style and meant to hold the organs of the mummy. A dark brown clay body with a clear glaze on the interior. The size is 9.5" tall and 5" in diameter. Good condition, no cracks no chips.
